Job Description

The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Support Officer to join our Chemicals Trading Division, based in the Melbourne Head Office on a permanent full-time basis. This role involves business coordination and assisting the Division in contract administration, trading activities and handling customer inquiries. You will be responsible for commercial coordination and documentations for the trading business. 

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Administer and maintain contracts with domestic and international customers and suppliers to support trading operations.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable accurately and on time using MUGEN SAP and associated systems.
  • Generate and manage invoices and shipping documentation in alignment with trade compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate the delivery and logistics of goods to ensure smooth and timely execution of trade transactions.

 

The Person

We are seeking a proactive junior trading administrator with 5 years’ experience in business coordination and documentation experience in trading, importing and exporting activities. You possess excellent communication and coordination skills and are adept at managing multiple tasks, with a keen eye for detail. Your ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders will ensure you excel in this role.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification or part qualification in International Trade or relevant business discipline
  • Completion of a Business Administration course and/or an import/export course is preferred.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Reasonable business coordination and commercial documentation. Experience in trading, importing and exporting activities.
  • A good understanding and experience using SAP ECC is essential.
  • Reasonable knowledge of international trade procedures and incoterms
  • Accounting knowledge and familiarity with accounting concepts.
