Job Description

About the role

We are seeking for a Contracts and Procurement Advisor to be an integral part of the operations Supply Chain activities of Mitsui Exploration and Production Australia (MEPAU).

Reporting to the Operations Supply Chain Lead, the role will primarily focus on the provision of Supply Chain support for the Waitsia 2026 turnaround and miscellaneous brownfield activities.

Key roles and Responsibilities:

  • Work efficiently and effectively within the end-to-end supply chain processes and systems
  • Prepare prequalification, tender documents as appropriate.  
  • Critique technical scopes for tender packages and ensure they align with commercial contract documentation
  • Lead negotiations, coordinate tender clarifications and undertake commercial evaluations
  • Coordinate and lead the bid evaluation and prepare contract award documentation
  • Draft and conform finalised contracts.
  • Post award contract management on assigned contracts.
  • Raise requisitions/Purchase Orders in Coupa Procure to Pay system as required.

Desired Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will require the following skills and experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ contracting and procurement experience, preferably within the resources industry.
  • Experience in operating procurement software systems (preferably Coupa)  
  • Sound stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across multiple functions.
  • A “can do” attitude and willingness to help out across the project and wider organization as required.
  • Strong sense of ownership and urgency, with the ability to proactively drive tasks through to completion.
  • High level of proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of programs
  • Excellent business writing and oral communication skills with a high attention to detail.
