We are seeking an Operator/Maintainer (Electrical & Instrumentation) to join our Perth Basin team.
Job Description
Working within the Field Operations team, this role will see you responsible for the safe and effective operation and maintenance of the Perth Basin oil and gas facilities whilst ensuring compliance and integrity requirements are met.
The role is based at the Waitsia Gas Plant (near Dongara) on a 2/2 roster basis, including night shifts. The role can be either FIFO from Perth or Residential (based in Dongara). FIFO personnel are provided with accommodation.
Reporting to the Person In Charge (PIC), you will:
Perform field and Control Room duties as required including monitoring, process adjustments and administration activities.
Perform Permit to Work functions including Permit Authority, Permit Holder, Field Isolations and contractor support.
Comply and guide others with all established workplace procedures.
Perform first line maintenance within competency whilst considering the environmental impact of the activities.
Undertake maintenance activity execution at site.
Develop isolations and permits.
Assist PIC with site contractor management.
Participate, identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
Understand installed information technology systems within the facility.
Undertake and mentor testing of the process to ensure final product is within specification.
Work on a continuous shift roster and attend call-outs if requested.

To be successful in this role, you will require the following skills and experience:
Trade certified in Instrument and Electrical disciplines.
Certificate III or higher in Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas (EEHA).
Certificate III or higher in Process Plant Operations (we can assist candidates to achieve this if they have a Cert II).
HV training would be viewed favourably.
Minimum 5 years as an operator/maintainer in hydrocarbon, chemical or manufacturing industries.
Car licence mandatory, HR class license discretionary.
Experience in Permit to Work systems and ability to be trained as a Permit Authority.
Ability to operate or be trained to operate a gas plant console.
Good time management, planning and organisational skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Packages.
Demonstrated ability to start, stop, monitor, adjust and test processing systems in accordance with documented standards and procedures.
